Obtain your Private Pilot License (PPL), Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi Engine Rating (ME) through AeroGuard’s Multi-Engine Certificate Program. Private Pilot Certificate
- Obtain at least a Third Class Medical Certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME)
- Complete FAA required Private Pilot ground school with solo and dual flight instruction
- Complete FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test
- Pass the FAA Checkride to obtain Private Pilot License
Instrument Rating Certification
- Complete FAA required Instrument Rating ground school with solo and dual flight instruction
- Complete FAA Instrument Rating Knowledge Test
- Pass the FAA Checkride to obtain Instrument Rating Certification
Multi Engine Rating Certification
- Complete FAA required Multi Engine ground school with solo and dual flight instruction
- Will be completed as a Private Pilot Multi add-on
- Pass the FAA Checkride to obtain Multi Engine Rating Certification
Students training within AeroGuard’s Multi-Engine Certificate Program will typically be on campus six days a week and participate in ground school, flight missions, simulator missions, and briefs as they prepare for each certification’s FAA Checkride. After completing training, students will graduate as a Private Pilot with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings.
