Can I Work (Full-Time) and Attend Flight School?
If you imagine having a career that’ll take you skyward but are concerned about the cost associated with reaching that goal, you’re not alone. Can you work and attend flight school? Luckily, it’s possible to hold a part-time or even a full-time job and attend flight school part-time. Let’s discuss what that looks like.
Work and Flight School at the Same Time
When you attend a flight school that allows schedule and training flexibility, working a job is feasible. With part-time training, you’ll be able to pay for your education as you move through a program, as well as manage your personal finances as necessary – you have responsibilities, and we understand!
When a full-time, accelerated program isn’t something you can swing, part-time training gives you the option to keep your job while making your dream reality. Though the timeframe to get you to where you want will be longer, this may be the best and most affordable journey for you to embark on.
A Healthy Balance
Should you choose to attend flight school and work, it’s incredibly important to find a healthy balance between the two, as you don’t want to overexert yourself. Whether you’re working full-time and going to school, or working part-time and going to school, you’ll want to be sure to stay on top of your schedule and give appropriate attention to both your work and your training. Keep in mind, too, if you aren’t training consistently, it’s imperative that you continue studying when you can to stay sharp.
Furthermore, when you’re working and training simultaneously, it becomes critical to take good care of yourself. You’ll want to make sure you’re getting enough sleep and eating properly. This will help you stay energized and avoid falling ill and missing out on either engagement.
While working and going to flight school might be doable for some, it’s not a one-size-fits-all option. You’ll need to determine what will be appropriate for you.
